Givenchy Gentlemen Only Intense

Givenchy Gentlemen Only Intense

Gentlemen Only Intense comes in pretty standard bottle with a pretty standard cap. Really nothing special.

I do appreciate the gradient color scheme of black up top lightening to white down below.

I can see the gentleman inspiration: Suave and Masculine on the outside (Black) yet delicate and soft-hearted on the inside (white).

All in all, Nothing to see here.

Score: 6/10

Juice (Scent Composition)

The main notes in this one are tonka beans, leather, and incense later drying down to a bright, resinous Amber note along with a mildly sweet hint of vanilla.

Not a lot going on as far as contrasts and depth. What comes to mind when I smell it? I get a dark smooth vibe. It’s hard for me to put my finger on it.

If I were to put it in Layman’s terms, I would describe it as blush makeup.

All in all, I’m not too hot on this one. I’m not repulsed by it but at the same time I don’t think it smells good. Score: 3/10

Performance

Projection: For a fragrance carrying the intense label, projection is pretty lackluster. The first hour, it doesn’t project beyond one’s personal space and after that it’s just a skin scent. 3/10

Longevity: Longevity is about average lasting around 5 hours or so on my skin. 6/10

Impressions (Complement factor): Despite my reservations about this one, my wife really loved it. Others have reported receiving compliments with it as well although nobody puts it in the complement magnet category.  7/10

Best Season: Fall (evenings)

Best Occasion: Casual, dates, formal
